About Me
Matt Edmunds

My masonry journey began during the summer of 2005. I was offered a summer job mixing mortar for premier brick oven builder Peter Moore. I soon learned that I really enjoyed creating aesthetically pleasing objects from a time honored tradition. The next few summers I returned working for him until I graduated college from SUNY Oneonta in the Spring of 2008. That year my summer job turned into my year long profession. With each passing year I found my affection for quality masonry growing and my aptitude for the craft greatly expanding. Aside from the enjoyment of the creative process and building what was drawn on paper I also enjoy the constant change of scenery. Various jobs find me traveling all over New England and New York and always in new places that I otherwise would never have been. Best yet, I get to leave my mark in those places for generations to come! I even had the opportunity to go on a sabatical to Sweden to learn how to build Swedish tile stoves, a uniquely beautiul and Swedish form of a masonry heater. I am passionate about masonry and I look forward to the unforseen future projects and a life's career in problem solving and creating functional, beautiful things for others to enjoy.
